Wedding Cakes
Consultation
The first step in ordering your bespoke wedding cake from Knot & Bird is the consultation. We can consult with you in person, on the phone or via email. We understand the pressure of wedding and event planning and we make every effort to ensure choosing your cake is as simple and fun as possible.
Ideas
The consultation is a starting place to help us gather information and ideas. We will discuss your venue, theme, number of guests, budget, flavour ideas and, of course, any specific cake ideas or designs. You can show us photos of cakes or themes you like – the more information we have, the easier it is to help you decide on your perfect cake.
Finalisation
The design of your wedding cake will be finalised no later than 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. At this point the outstanding balance for your cake is due. Beyond this point we will make every effort to ensure that any reasonable changes to your cake design are incorporated prior to your wedding day, wherever possible, but we are unable to guarantee such changes.
Our Cakes
Our cakes start at £45 for a 6” (serves 10-12) and are four layers high – much taller than usual cakes which means that a little slice goes a very long way. Here are some of our most popular styles of decoration – although please contact us with your ideas, as we always like to try something new.
Signature Cakes
The Knot & Bird classic cake, available in over 30 flavoured sponges and colours and adaptable for dietary requirements.
Custom Cakes
We love making cakes that are full of personality, and what better way to do this than to design a cake especially for you. Tell us your favourite hobby, TV show, mythical creature or even a favourite colour and we’ll create something special.
Cupcakes
Perfect for any celebration and can be decorated to complement a larger cake or a theme. Our cupcakes start at £20 per dozen
Macaron Tower
The elegant French classic, available in any colour or flavour you can imagine. If that thought overwhelms you, feel free to choose from our classic list of flavours, that will be coloured accordingly. Can be hand painted or piped on to finish off.
Decadent Treats
You can order just one style of our treats or really indulge and get a few different types to complement each other. All of our “treats” are available as wedding favours.
Biscuits
All our biscuits are made with real butter and hand rolled, cut and iced. These can then be hand painted, stamped or coloured to match your party theme. Perfect complement to a cake, as part of a dessert table or even as place cards.
Brownies
Either stick to the classic rich chocolate or try a twist: salted caramel, peanut butter or even rocky road- whichever you choose, you won’t be disappointed
Chocolates
We love creating exquisite hand-made chocolates for any occasion! By themselves, they’re a lovely way to let someone know you’re thinking of them. Added to a cake – a way to let someone know you’re truly spoiling them.
Meringue Kisses
These beautiful kisses can be left white, classic and elegant, or tinted any colour of the rainbow. A great addition to a party as they can be tied in to any colour scheme.

Consultations
We won’t charge you anything until you have decided exactly what kind of cake you would like us to bake for you. Once you’ve chosen, we take an upfront 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding cake.
Tasting
If you’re unsure which flavour to choose you can book a tasting with us. For £50 you can choose up to three combinations of flavours of cake and frostings to try and if you place an order we simply deduct the cost of the tasting off the balance for your cake.
Favours
If you order your wedding cake with us, you get a 10% discount from any of our treats when you order 100 or more. These can be displayed as part of your dessert table, scattered round guest tables, or individually packaged.
Sugar Flowers
Beautiful, unique and the perfect addition to one of our cakes. We can make any colour or variety.
